We’ve made great strides as a society towards accepting ways of loving that fall outside the rigid binary that has long dominated the social order. But, we have a looooong long way to go towards fully accepting, embracing, and honoring the spectrum of sexual expression that makes human kind so interesting, rich, and diverse. Therapy is a space to recover, heal, and reclaim the parts of yourself that this world so sadly didn’t celebrate as it should have.

Losing someone or something dear to us is an experience we will all go through. Inevitably, this will be hard. Having a supportive space to explore the myriad reactions that follow – the sadness, the memories, the void that is left, can make all the difference between integrating the loss and growing deeply as a result, or finding ourselves stuck in a persistent state of mourning that can be hard to break out of. Regardless, there is no more human an experience than this.

Life is a gift, life is a hazard. When something (or things) happen that overwhelm us – our bodies react the same as they have since the dawn of time: fight, flight, or freeze. While this is great for survival, it can leave a residue in the mind that can be frustratingly hard to move past – this can feel confusing, disorienting, and unresolved. Basically, in situations like this, different parts our brain need to re-learn how to fully communicate – therapy can help.

As a collaborative, relational clinician with extensive clinical training and experience, I am passionate about creating a space in which honest, direct, and authentic communication is possible.

For several decades, the science has continued to show: enhancing our awareness of breath, body, thoughts and emotions can be the key to reducing stress and firmly establishing a solid ground beneath us towards healing, recovery, and increased positive emotions. I have over 20 years of experience and training in mindfulness approaches, which I integrate within a psychodynamic-relational frame when appropriate.

I have extensive training and experience in creating safe spaces to address with honesty and authenticity hard truths about difference, oppression, and privilege. In my practice, I am dedicated towards empowering voices that have been unfairly marginalized.
