About My Clients
Whether it's getting control of anxiety, overcoming addiction, rising up from depression, or settling relational conflicts, you are desiring healing and help. The immobilization of hopelessness, the pain and destabilization of loss, infidelity, or abuse are burdens that we were never meant to carry alone. You are here because you are looking to take that next step toward healing, trusting that something new is possible.
My Background and Approach
I counsel youth, adults, couples and families using a person-centered approach. I have experience counseling a range of needs, from crisis and stabilization of acute mental health symptoms to overcoming addiction, codependency, and relationship conflicts. I show respect by creating space for your own autonomy and voice, and regularly provide opportunities for assessing if we're on track. Trust is key. Building on and strengthening what works, identifying and changing negative thoughts, holding and processing emotional experiences, inspiring hope, and designing healthier habits and lifestyles are all therapeutic activities that can occur within a safe and caring relationship.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Our core values are ultimately what we live by, and they bleed out in every interaction we have. I am a believer in Jesus, and his Person and work are the most important values in my life. I have high hopes that anything is possible with God (Mt 19:26), that God will bring to completion what he has started in you (Php 1:6), and that all of humanity experiences a common thread of suffering that God is actively bringing redemption and purpose to. What beliefs, values, or attitudes are most important in guiding your own life? In what ways are they finding their expression in your life, your relationships, your work, your world? I invite you to explore and lean into what you believe is of utmost importance, and use your counseling relationship for everything it is intended for: change, healing and growth.
