About My Clients
I work best with adults who are successful on the outside but struggling on the inside — professionals, parents, creatives, and high-functioning people battling addiction (alcohol, drugs, meth, prescriptions), behavioral addictions, trauma, shame, anxiety, or burnout. Many of my clients have careers, families, and reputations they need to protect, which is why privacy is a big deal here.
My Background and Approach
I’m Belinda “Belle” Morey, BS, CSAC — a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor and recovery coach with a Bachelor of Science in Substance Abuse and Addiction Counseling. My approach is built on both clinical training and deep lived experience. Before becoming a counselor, I survived meth addiction, multiple suicide attempts, overdoses, crushing poverty, and life-shattering abuse. I know the shame, the cravings, the fog, and the fear of asking for help. That’s why my style is radically honest, warm, and practical. I blend evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, attachment work, and strength-based approaches with real talk that comes from someone who’s walked the same road. Sessions are individualized — no cookie-cutter plans. We address the substance use or behavioral addiction and the trauma, anxiety, depression, or survival patterns underneath.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe recovery and healing are for real people — not just those who have it all together or fit a certain image. I’m deeply committed to no-shame, non-judgmental support because I lived the other side. Addiction, trauma, and mental health struggles don’t make you broken; they make you human. Progress isn’t linear and it doesn’t have to be perfect — it just has to be forward. I’m passionate about protecting privacy because I know how terrifying it can be to risk your career, family, or reputation. I also believe in radical honesty, self-compassion, and finding that tiny spark of hope even on the darkest days. Outside of this work, I recharge by writing (I’m the author of The Circle Stays Unbroken and the Progress Is Progress Codependency Workbook), spending time in northern Wisconsin nature, and staying connected to my own recovery journey every single day. I’m still a work in progress too — and that keeps me grounded and real with every client I serve.
