About My Clients
Do you ever feel like you’ve done everything “right”… but are still hurting? Do you wonder if you are the problem? What if you need less fixing and more healing? My path here started when I was a teenager sitting across from a therapist who saw my worth before I could. Since, I’ve walked with people through identity shifts, disordered eating, addiction recovery, coming out, and faith transitions. I don’t believe people need to be fixed. I believe they need to feel seen and safe enough to heal.
My Background and Approach
When I sit with you, I bring my whole self: woman, evidence-based trauma-therapist, mom who raised six kids, queer advocate, spiritual but not religious, and yes, someone who laughs a little too hard sometimes. I’ll sit with you in the messy parts, honor how you survived, and help you reconnect with your core worth, the same way someone once did for me.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a huge believer that each one of us has deep purpose and inherent value. I use evidence-based modalities first, because research matters. Just as important, though, is that I use approaches designed to help you heal the trauma so you can hear yourself again. I believe that deep within, even when buried by trauma and pain, your highest self is still there. It cannot be destroyed or diminished. When we truly know ourselves, we stop putting external things first and begin honoring what is actually right for us. I’ve seen meaningful reductions in PTSD symptoms, and I’m proud of that. But my greatest joy is watching self-trust restored and self-love grow in a way that feels real and lasting. It is my particular joy to work with cis women and LGBTQ folx of all genders.
