About My Clients
I have over ten years of experience working with children, adolescents and families formed through domestic and international adoption and foster care.
My Background and Approach
I provide caring, specialized treatment in: adoption/foster care issues, birth family relationships and their subsequent reunions, children of divorce, trauma recovery, depression, sexual abuse, grief and loss, identity struggles, anxiety, anger management, and cross-cultural adjustments. I treat each client with deep empathy, and approach therapy from a psychodynamic and interpersonal therapeutic lens. As an adoptee, I draw upon my personal experiences, and understand complex family systems. This has informed my work with grief and loss, as well as children of divorce and the search for identity. My treatment approach is deeply rooted in attachment, and utilizing creative arts therapies to explore a variety of challenges. I am an Independent Clinical Social Worker in New York and Washington state and hold a Master of Social Work from New York University. My training is in Art, Play, and Sand Tray Therapy. Currently, I have a Post Graduate Certificate in Attachment-Focused Therapy.
