About My Clients
Each individual is unique and has a subjective reality to guide their behavior and thinking patterns. Once this subjective reality is explored and understood, including the manifestations of the reality and the roots that created it, the individual can challenge and alter it to create a new, more fulfilling experience.
My Background and Approach
Therapy is a space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in an open and nonjudgmental manner while developing skills to help guide them through emotions and experiences. As a therapist, I work with clients to help understand their own patterns and tendencies through processing thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. In my sessions, I typically: provide a nonjudgmental space to explore one's self, use a strengths-based approach that is often non-directive, draw from Adlerian ideals (i.e. balancing life tasks, the importance of childhood experiences, etc.), provide psychoeducation, and encourage mindfulness techniques to increase resilience and awareness. I like to first explore self-care tendencies, develop strong coping skills and a self-care routine, then dive deep into uncovering unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors.
