About My Clients

I work with adults, college students, and teens navigating eating disorders, body image concerns, anxiety, OCD, trauma, life transitions, stress, perfectionism, self-esteem and relationship challenges. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed or uncertain, yet ready for change. I offer a supportive space where you feel seen and develop tools to build resilience, strengthen your sense of self, and move toward the life you want. All bodies, backgrounds, and identities are welcome here.

My Background and Approach

My background includes providing individual therapy and groups in private practice and university settings, treating eating/body-image concerns, anxiety/OCD, trauma, mood and personality disorders, substance use, and more. My approach is strengths-based and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on mindfulness and self-compassion. We’ll set clear, personalized goals together and move at a pace that feels safe while balancing warmth with strategies you can use between sessions. I draw from a variety of evidence-based practices such as CBT (including exposure-based/ERP), DBT skills, ACT and Motivational Interviewing. I also offer EMDR and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). Together we’ll make sense of what’s happening, build grounding and emotion-regulation skills, use cognitive tools to step back from unhelpful thoughts, choose small values-guided actions, practice real-life changes, and work gently on patterns like perfectionism, people-pleasing, and avoidance, with room for humor.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people aren’t problems to be fixed but humans who learned patterns to cope. Because symptoms often begin as protection, therapy should be compassionate, curious, and practical. Your goals set the direction, and we’ll move at a pace that fits you. I practice cultural humility and tailor care to your life, identities, and values. Growth is possible at any age and it is rarely linear, so small steps count. I trust both research and lived experience: mindfulness and self-compassion can change how we relate to pain, behavior change builds confidence, and insight paired with action creates momentum. I believe bodies deserve respect at every size and stage, and food, movement, and rest can become forms of care rather than control. Boundaries are acts of self-respect, and relationships can heal what relationships hurt. I welcome humor because lightness belongs in hard work. Above all, you already carry strengths worth building, and therapy is a collaborative path back to self-trust.
