About My Clients
Maybe you’ve learned to function through anxiety, but inside you’re exhausted from always bracing for the next wave. You might feel your heart pounding, your breath shortening, or your mind spinning before you can stop it. My clients want relief, not clichés, they want tools that genuinely help. I work with people who are ready to understand their triggers, calm their bodies, and build skills that make anxiety something they can manage, not something that controls their life.
My Background and Approach
My approach is grounded, practical, and built around understanding why your mind and body react the way they do. I weave together CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and trauma-informed work so you can see the patterns behind your emotions and learn skills that actually make life feel easier. I pay close attention to culture, family roles, migration stories, faith, and identity, because none of us exist in a vacuum, and your background is part of your emotional landscape. In session, I’m direct and collaborative; I explain what we’re doing, why it matters, and how it helps you move forward. Together we work on calming the nervous system, challenging unhelpful thoughts, improving communication, and strengthening your sense of control. My goal is for therapy to feel like clarity: you understand yourself better, and you leave with tools you can use the same day.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people heal when they feel understood, respected, and given tools that genuinely work for them. Change happens when therapy is honest, culturally aware, and grounded in real-life skills, not clichés. I see every client as the expert on their own experience, and my role is to help make sense of the patterns and build a path forward.
