About My Clients
My areas of expertise include anxiety (social anxiety, panic, OCD, generalized anxiety), depression, and trauma. I also specialize in women’s mental health, including reproductive and perinatal mental health challenges (e.g. postpartum depression and anxiety disorders, infertility, pregnancy loss), and relationship loss, such as breakups and divorce. Additionally, I work with older adolescents and young adults and am passionate about addressing concerns of emerging adulthood.
My Background and Approach
I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and doctoral degree from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship specializing in women’s mental health. In addition to maintaining a private practice, I also provide clinical supervision to doctoral students at the New School for Social Research and Ferkauf. I offer a warm and interactive approach to therapy. My expertise is grounded in evidence-based treatment approaches, such as CBT and incorporates aspects of other therapies, such as DBT and attachment therapy. From the beginning of treatment, we will work together to identify goals and potential areas of growth in your life—and we’ll use these as guideposts to assess progress and steer the direction of our work. I will assist you in creating positive changes in your life by increasing awareness of thought patterns, behaviors and beliefs that may be blocking you from achieving your goals, hindering your relationships, or keeping you stuck.
