About My Clients
You may be someone who thinks deeply, holds yourself to high standards, and still feels like you’re falling short. You replay conversations, question your decisions, or know what might help but struggle to follow through. Maybe life looks fine from the outside, while inside you feel anxious, numb, lonely, or unsure where you’re headed.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical (LCSW-C) in Maryland with a Master of Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work. I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, low self-esteem, loneliness, and uncertainty about their direction in life. My approach combines psychodynamic and existential therapy with practical tools from CBT, ACT, and DBT. That means we can explore why certain patterns keep repeating while also working on what you can do differently today. For OCD, I use exposure and response prevention (ERP) to help you practice facing uncertainty without relying on compulsions for relief. My own experience with depression informs the empathy I bring to this work. I understand that knowing what might help and finding the energy to do it are different things. Together, we’ll choose manageable steps that fit your needs, with room to reflect, adjust, and keep moving toward what matters to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people deserve room to be honest about their struggles without being reduced to a diagnosis or judged for needing help. Reducing mental health stigma matters to me, especially in communities where asking for support can feel difficult. As an Orthodox Jewish therapist, I appreciate how faith, tradition, family, and community can provide meaning—and sometimes bring complicated expectations. I welcome clients of all backgrounds and beliefs. Our work centers on understanding your values and helping you build a life that feels more your own. Outside of therapy, I’m a husband, father, and cat owner who enjoys lifting, hiking, reading, and following sports. Movement and connection matter in my own life, which helped inspire A Brighter Winter, the free wellness resource I created through Turning Point Therapy.
