About Our Clients
We at Barefoot And Balanced honor diversity, authenticity, compassion, and agency. We seek to meet clients where they are and to provide a safe and comfortable space to explore whatever challenges they may be facing. We are a group of trauma informed, sex positive, and gender inclusive therapists who seek to offer positive, uplifting care to individuals, couples, and adults, as well as to gender expansive young people. Together we believe we can help clients create greater ease in their lives.
Our Background and Approach
Our therapists are adept at a wide variety of approaches, utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma informed care, dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), compassion focused therapy, positive psychology, EMDR, insight oriented techniques, psychodynamic therapy, neurobiological learning theory, attachment theory, and more. We are also skilled at providing services to the LGBTQIA+ community, the ethical non-monogamy community, the Deaf community, people experiencing grief, depression, trauma, anxiety, as well as women in transition.
Our Personal Beliefs and Interests
We believe that everyone deserves the attentive and loving support of therapy - a place to let their guard down with someone who not only truly wants to be there, but whom sincerely cares for the client. We believe in authenticity, transparency, honesty, and boundaries - all of which we strive to model for clients in our every interaction.
