About My Clients
I have a background with working with a variety of client groups including: family, children, individual, groups, and parents. We will work on identifying your strengths and visualizing ideal outcome from attending therapy.
My Background and Approach
I am a CBT centered therapist with perspectives in humanistic psychology. I believe in each individual's efforts in their journey to fulfill their potential and true selves. Each individual has their own struggles due to their unique life experiences. I intend to provide unconditional regard to you and your experiences while we address the triggers of your struggles and discuss healthy coping skills. I hope to alleviate the mental health stigma of reaching out for mental health support when needed to promote healthy emotional management. I am bi cultural and able to provide additional support in understanding cultural barriers to treatment. I like to use worksheets and other visual aids to help clients better understand their triggers. I am also comfortable using motivation interviewing and self reflections to help clients explore different perspectives of their thought patterns.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My main goal is to provide a positive experience for my clients. I want to present myself as an approachable and capable individual whom you can trust. I believe there is a strong correlation between effective therapy and professional client/provider rapport and that will be my priority when establishing our boundaries. Lastly, I want to emphasize my belief that clients have the abilities to identifying what is best for them. I simply provide the tools needed for the individual to make their own lasting changes.
