About My Clients
My somatic, mindfulness-based therapy practice instills hope and empowers individuals to find solutions within their lives. A change-oriented therapist that uses proven behavioral psychology techniques while drawing from her 30+ years of combined experience as a special education teacher, yoga and meditation instructor, and childbirth doula. I work collaboratively with those experiencing difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and interpersonal conflicts.
My Background and Approach
I am EMDR trained and work with negative cognitions and self talk and teach the trauma resiliency model (TRM) and tools for living a resilient life. I use somatic based therapies and the poly-vagal theory in therapy. I also teach yoga, breathing techniques, yoga nidra and meditation. I am a meditator and study and apply buddhist principles in my life. Client testimonial...."You truly care.
