About My Clients

You might look fine on the outside while carrying something heavy no one else can see. Maybe your life looks good on paper but doesn't feel right, or you're exhausted from wearing masks—presenting one version of yourself while something else is going on inside. Maybe something specific happened that you can't stop thinking about, or you're navigating a major life change and questioning who you are now. I help others learn to trust themselves again to make meaningful change in their lives.

My Background and Approach

I've been doing this work for 20 years—in psychiatric hospitals, crisis intervention, and working with families in the community. I've worked alongside medical professionals, lawyers, and first responders. I've seen people at their worst moments and watched them find their way through. I became a social worker because I believe we heal in context—not in isolation. Your struggles didn't happen in a vacuum, and neither does your healing. I'm licensed in Ohio and work with adults of all ages. You’re not broken. Sometimes we feel stuck on a path that doesn't feel right, but we can't see how to change it. My job is to help you find the clarity you need to see your options and trust yourself to choose. Sessions with me are transparent and collaborative. I'm a guide, not an expert on your life. I use approaches that research shows help people heal, explained in plain language. I check in to make sure we're doing what feels right for you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I trained as a social worker, which taught me to see people within systems—your struggles aren't just about you, they're about the world you're navigating and what that world has asked you to survive. I value cultural humility. I don't claim to understand experiences I haven't lived, but I'm committed to learning and staying curious, especially across differences in race, identity, and background. I'm deeply committed to human rights where all people deserve dignity, safety, and belonging. I believe humans are here to support one another, and when we treat people as problems to manage rather than humans to support, we lose something essential. Systems that prioritize power or profit over people are fundamentally wrong. I believe in honesty, directness, and meeting you where you are. Therapy isn't about me having answers you don't. It's about creating space where you can figure out what's true for you and supporting you as you build a life that reflects that truth.
