About My Clients

I feel passionately about working with the LGBT community and their families, including youth, to cope with coming out, transitioning, or relationship issues. I would like to be a part of the hope and healing that is possible in these situations. I also feel strongly about helping you alleviate pain and suffering while dealing with trauma. I have been trained in EMDR and have foundations in solution focused therapies.

My Background and Approach

I have a background in education as well as a master's degree in community counseling from the University of Missouri, St. Louis. I have worked as a vocational counselor and also have experience working in a state forensic hospital, helping clients find meaning through work. I believe that therapy is a collaborative experience between client and therapist and that my job is to help you build solutions. I also believe that everyone has the strengths, resilience and resources to create and live a meaningful life! Whether you are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD or having relationship problems, I will work with you to find solutions for a healthy and fulfilling life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I feel strongly about working with people who have been made to feel 'less than' by others and strive to help people understand and believe their completeness and worth.
