About My Clients
I work with teens and young adults who are figuring out relationships, identity, and self-esteem while managing anxiety, motivation, and family dynamics. Many of my clients are learning to regulate emotions, set boundaries, and build self-trust. In our work, I focus on helping them develop self-awareness, confidence, and healthy coping skills so they can feel more grounded, connected, and true to themselves.
My Background and Approach
Hi, I’m Bar, a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT 135577) working with college students and young adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, life transitions, and the pressure to “have it all together.” I know reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, especially when you’re balancing school, work, relationships, and figuring out who you are. My approach is collaborative, creative, and grounded in humor and authenticity—I want therapy to feel real, safe, and even enjoyable. I focus on your whole picture: your strengths, values, and the parts of you that want to grow. Think of our sessions as tuning into what’s really going on in your life, processing it together, and making sense of it in a way that feels genuine to you. You don’t need to have it all figured out—this is a space to explore, reflect, and grow at your own pace. Outside of sessions, you’ll usually find me boxing, exploring the outdoors, or catching up with friends and family.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every person is more than their struggles, stress, or past experiences, and that everyone has unique strengths, values, and potential for growth. I see therapy as a collaborative space where humor, creativity, and authenticity are valued, and where clients can explore their lives without judgment. I believe in meeting people where they are, honoring their experiences, and helping them build understanding, resilience, and self-compassion at their own pace.
