My Background and Approach
I am a 2nd generation Hmong American. I created Narrative Therapy MKE to be a space for people, like you, who don’t have place in your life to just breath and tell your story. This could be due to sexual orientation, race, employment, religion etc,, but it could also be due to being a busy mom, being someone in a leadership role. My hope is that this space will allow you to tell and retell your story in a way that will lead you to take full ownership as the author of your life. You might be feeling hopeless and resigned with the problems in your life, and yet YOU are HERE. And that makes all the difference! Because I truly, genuinely believe that in our work together, we will find many more ways in which you have asserted or acted in a way that shows you are not ok with the way things currently are or were. You deserve to reclaim your life from these problems and reconnect with yourself in more meaningful way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that each person comes in with their own set of values and skills that can be brought out in our work together. I believe that problems do not have 100% control of your life. My hope is that you can claim more ownership of your life and interact with others in more meaningful ways. Your life story is valuable and deserves a space to be heard. As an adult, you deserve to have a life defined by YOU, and no one else. You are more than your single story.
