About My Clients
I’m passionate about helping clients feel truly understood, supported, and empowered. I work closely with individuals and families to strengthen communication, build connection, and ease the stress of life transitions. My general areas of practice include anxiety, depression, ADHD & other neurodivergence.
My Background and Approach
As a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, I primarily work with kids, teens, and young adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, emotional regulation, life transitions, and identity development. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Emotion-Focused interventions to help clients better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while developing practical tools for change. With younger clients, I often incorporate art, play, and activity-based interventions to make skill-building engaging and developmentally appropriate. A core focus of my work is helping clients build coping strategies, emotional awareness, and problem-solving skills they can confidently use outside of sessions in their everyday lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My work is grounded in the core values of social work: dignity, equity, and social justice. I practice from a progressive, inclusive lens and strive to create a space where all clients feel respected, safe, and affirmed. I am LGBTQIA+ & neurodivergence affirming, and committed to anti-racist and culturally responsive care. I believe therapy should honor each person’s autonomy, strengths, and identity while acknowledging the real impacts of societal barriers and injustice. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where clients can explore who they are, build skills for navigating the world, and feel empowered in their lives and communities. As someone who has personally navigated anxiety and ADHD, I bring empathy, understanding, and patience to my work. I know strategies that sound simple can be hard to put into practice, so I focus on helping clients develop practical, realistic, and flexible tools that are sustainable and truly fit into their everyday lives and routines.
