About My Clients
My therapy style is relaxed and collaborative, with a high value placed on humor and hope. I work with ages 12+ on issues like depression, anxiety, self-harm, suicidal ideation, infertility, perfectionism, and grief. We will work together to identify your goals, your strengths, and your values and use these to help guide the therapeutic process. As a Christian counselor, I feel that bringing spirituality into the counseling room is one of the best ways to grow hope.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master’s of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of William & Mary, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. I see clients in-person at our Sugar Hill office location, and virtually throughout the state of Georgia. I practice primarily from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy lens, which involves accepting the imperfect and uncomfortable circumstances of life, identifying your values, and taking committed action steps toward a rich, full, meaningful life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a passion for supporting women through infertility, pregnancy loss, and other challenges related to family planning. I am a Christian therapist and practice spiritually-integrated psychotherapy, which means I am trained in incorporating your personal spiritual and religious beliefs in our sessions to help you move toward healing.
