About My Clients
ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS I work with adults on a wide array of issues including but not limited to: anxiety (negative self-talk, social anxiety, fears, perfectionism), navigating young adulthood (college stressors, moving to a new city, navigating the workforce, identity development, interpersonal relationships), grief (death, end of relationships) depression (difficulty participating in the day to day, feelings of sadness), life transitions (new job, moving, parenthood, chronic illness)
My Background and Approach
I approach my clinical work with a multicultural and person-centered lens. My approach is eclectic and centers around your specific needs. Other therapeutic approaches that I draw from in my work with clients are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). With these theories I will help you acquire tools for dealing with the stressors of daily life, while exploring your identity and values. My therapeutic approach is nonjudgmental and accepting of your whole self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Thank yourself for taking the first step to finding a therapist who is the right fit for you. Life can be overwhelming, and sometimes it can be easy to leave "self-care" off of your to-do list. I believe in care that is crafted for you and your unique life circumstances. While I am the expert in mental health you are the expert on you, so I need to listen to you and respect your individual needs by creating a treatment plan that is personalized to you and your needs. I believe that everyone has the capacity to get "unstuck" and find their own joy. Healing takes practice, so together we can create the space to process, heal, and reenergize.
