About My Clients
I work with adults, couples, and families — including Spanish-speaking clients — who want counseling grounded in Christian faith and practical tools that actually help. Many of the people I see are navigating anxiety, depression, marriage strain, family conflict, grief, or simply feeling stuck and wanting to understand themselves better. If you are looking for a counselor who will take your faith seriously while giving you concrete steps forward, we will likely be a good fit.
My Background and Approach
I am B. Keith Hawkins, a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor with the National Christian Counselors Association and a Professional Clinical Member of the NCCA. I hold a doctorate in clinical Christian counseling (DCCC), am a Certified Temperament Counselor, and hold advanced certification in Cognitive Therapy and Ethics as well as Integrated Marriage and Family Therapy. My approach centers on Temperament Therapy using the Arno Profile System — a faith-based model that helps you understand how God wired you — combined with cognitive therapy tools that change unhelpful thought patterns, and family systems work for couples and families. Before counseling, I spent years as an educator and now serve as an elementary school principal, which shapes how I work with families and young people. I offer secure telehealth sessions, and every new client starts with a free 15-minute consultation so we can make sure it is a good fit before you commit to anything.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Certified Clinical Pastoral Counselor with a Doctor of Clinical Christian Counseling (DCCC) degree and an M.Ed. in Administration, I bridge the gap between clinical insight and Biblical truth. I believe you are fearfully and wonderfully made, and true healing happens when your emotional health aligns with your spiritual convictions. My practice specializes in Temperament Therapy using the Arno Profile System (APS). This evidence-based framework reveals how God hardwired your soul, identifying your exact needs in relationships, decision-making, and affection so we can target the root causes of conflict, anxiety, or burnout. I am deeply committed to community health. I advocate for destigmatizing mental health in faith spaces and volunteer my time training local church care teams and supporting Christian education. I offer an absolute safe, confidential space for individuals, couples, and ministry leaders looking to heal and grow. Let's walk toward wholeness together.
