About My Clients
When life gets overwhelming, do you have a community who really gets you? Do you have a crew you can rely on for care, or are you left on your own in ways you don’t like? Have you been thinking lately — I can’t do all this on my own? You aren’t supposed to. We are born to rely on people we trust, people we can be vulnerable with. When we’ve experienced trauma, sometimes we lose our way back to that natural place of safe, reliable relationships with people.
My Background and Approach
Reimagine how relationships could be with yourself, friends, family, your society, and your ancestors. Learn what blocks you from having the stable, nurturing community you deserve. I always say, “friendship keeps me alive.” I am B. Campbell – an associate clinician and longtime community aunty dedicated to the wellbeing of BIPOC families. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy for children of color, adults wanting nourishing relationships, and folks in nonprofit/activist work. Together, we can return to connection.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We are all are hardwired for connection. All of us are capable of giving and receiving deep, liberating, love and care. Because of that, I am not in the business of trying to "fix" people. You were born knowing what it would take to be well. There are things getting in the way. That is what our work focuses on. Oppression from the systems and societies that be impact our mental wellbeing. I believe that impacts us more than anything we are "born" with. And while for some that can seem overwhelming, I find it empowering to know that I am not the problem. My people aren't the problem. We were born knowing what it would take to be well. We are raised in a larger culture that survives through exploitation, plunder, robbing, and scarcity. People on their healing journeys can come together to co-create a new culture of abundance.
