About My Clients
Do you often wonder if there is something "wrong" with you? Do you find yourself feeling misunderstood or dismissed in your relationships? Or perhaps you are plagued by a feeling of being constantly on edge? Many of the clients I work with come to therapy because they are tired of anxiety or the negative symptoms associated with ADHD keeping them from achieving their goals. If this is you, I can help.
My Background and Approach
I am a registered Dance/Movement Therapist, certified meditation coach and yoga instructor as well as a trained neurofeedback professional. Like most modern therapists, I take an eclectic approach to therapy exploring what resonates most with each client and collaborating with them to create a treatment plan they feel confident about. I am rooted in Attachment Theory, research on the effectiveness of self-compassion, mindfulness and the power of expressive therapy and somatic techniques. While each session might look different, clients can count on walking away with in the moment techniques they can practice to feel better now, in addition to the longer term interventions that will help them reach their goals.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every client is their own expert and simply need to be given the psychoeducation and tools to understand how to successfully navigate whatever challenge they are trying to overcome. As a registered Dance/Movement Therapist and certified meditation coach I utilize body-centered tools to help you get connected to your whole experience - body, mind and spirit - so you can understand on a deep level how you created the current strategies that are holding you back and how to change them.
