Every person in every family brings unique strengths and challenges. My job is to help the flavors blend together to compliment each other and not clash. My Background and Approach
I have been trained in the Gottman Method, Structural Family Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, DBT and CBT. Together, these modalities support a worldview that humans are amazingly resilient, that joy abounds and that conflicts are natural but not unsurmountable. I have worked with undocumented immigrants, suicidal teens and unrepentant criminals. All these families have overwhelmed me with the capacity of the human heart to love, care, forgive and grow. After more than a decade in the field, I remain inspired by my clients and the grace they have to fill the world.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have lived in California, Israel, Mexico, Costa Rica, New York and New Jersey. I volunteer with Hatzola of Middlesex County and New Jersey Search and Rescue. I was a Youth Representative for the American Dairy Goat Association, the Premiere Youth Exhibitor at the California State Fair and a California State Diamond Star. I can milk a water buffalo, spin wool into yarn and wish you a Happy New Year in Finnish. I think life is a gift and an adventure. I believe we are meant to influence and be influenced by every soul we meet. I look forward to meeting you!
