About My Clients
If you’re feeling stuck in the cycle of addiction and don’t know where to start, you’re not alone. Maybe you’ve been using substances to cope with pain, trauma, or stress, and it feels like things will never change. I want you to know that recovery is possible. Together, we’ll build healthier ways to cope, challenge negative thought patterns, and help you reconnect with the person you want to be. I offer counseling in English and Kurdish, and provide a safe, judgment-free space for healing.
My Background and Approach
I’m a drug and alcohol counselor with experience supporting clients in both outpatient and intensive outpatient settings. In these spaces, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people at different stages of recovery—from those just starting out to those working on long-term change. My background includes facilitating groups, guiding clients through the 12-steps, and using CBT skills to help shift negative thought patterns. These approaches allow clients to build practical coping strategies, gain new perspectives, and feel more in control of their recovery. I also specialize in working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and offer services in both English and Kurmanji (Kurdish), ensuring support is accessible and stigma doesn’t stand in the way of healing. My focus is always on creating a safe, compassionate environment where clients feel understood and empowered to move forward.
