About My Clients
My work is with people who don't usually seek this kind of support. Male athletes who are dealing with anxiety, pressure, ADHD, identity questions, or unsure where to start. Coaches navigating athlete mental health, team dynamics, or their own stress/burnout. Parents of youth athletes who want to support their kids without adding pressure, and who need someone to talk to about their own experience of watching their kid struggle, succeed, or walk away. If that's you, you're in the right place.
My Background and Approach
Sport and other performance domains often act as a vessel for important lessons such as handling adversity, working as a collective towards a common goal, taking feedback and criticism, and managing thoughts/emotions/behaviors, all of which are important transferable skills to every part of our lives. As a long time athlete and sports fan, competition has been a staple for much my life and I cherish the lessons and experience I have gained throughout. Towards the end of my athletic career, I became aware of the need for a holistic approach to athlete wellness that expands beyond performance. With my dual training in performance psychology and mental health counseling, I am looking to provide a space for athletes, coaches, and other high performers to navigate their life/performance circumstances and help them be the best versions of themselves both in and out of their performance domain.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Skadi Sport Psychology and my own personal values align closely with issues of social justice and inclusivity for all. We are a practice that prides itself on serving the "everyday athlete," not just "elite" performers. We are LGBTQ inclusive, neurodivergent empowering, and maintain a consistent commitment to addressing social inequities within sport.
