About My Clients
I enjoy working with people who are stuck and have experienced a loss of sorts; a loss of freedom, loss of a relationship; a loss of joy. Sometimes experiencing a loss may manifest as feeling worn out, or maybe masked as physical discomfort (think racing heart, shallow breathing). If you find yourself experiencing physical manifestations of emotional disturbances, know that there is a path towards healing. This path may involve deepening the mind-body connection, and with time you can thrive.
My Background and Approach
If you find yourself experiencing physical manifestations of emotional disturbances, know that there is a path towards healing. This path may involve deepening the mind-body connection through breathwork, increased nervous system awareness, curiosity, self-compassion and other body-oriented therapies. I know deeply that change is difficult and can feel uncomfortable. Processing life's ups and downs requires a commitment to deep work, one that can produce more growth than ever before. I aim to integrate the mind and body in my work which may look like incorporating breathing and movement, as well as assessing irrational or dysfunctional belief systems. I have taken trainings the following areas; treating complex trauma with the mind-body connection; cognitive-behavioral therapy for children and adolescents; polyvagal theory in therapy; and how to foster resilience through post-traumatic growth. These topics are just some of my personal and professional interests.
