About My Clients

Are you a Black or African American individual facing racial identity, grief, trauma, and PTSD? Do you experience pain, frustration, and isolation from battling systemic racism and cultural challenges? Daily struggles, compounded by personal and collective traumas, are overwhelming, leaving you anxious and emotionally drained. Yearning for a safe space to unpack burdens, confront fears, and begin healing is natural. Together, we'll delve into your experiences and emotions and nurture resilience.

My Background and Approach

My clinical experience spans various issues, but my passion lies in cultural sensitivity, attachment theory, trauma, and supporting communities of color through research. As a high achieving person of color, I understand the struggle to find a counselor who validates your experiences while encouraging your potential. Hence, I created Counseling for the Culture. As a specialist in assisting Black women and men, I've assisted over 200 clients in addressing imposter syndrome, reshaping damaging beliefs, and cultivating empowerment. Together, we'll reclaim your voice and power while setting clear goals to realize your dreams. Let's reshape your story, embrace your past, and confidently pursue your aspirations!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a Black female therapist, I wholeheartedly believe in the power of healing through empathy, empowerment, and social justice. I am committed to fostering a safe and inclusive space where clients of all backgrounds can explore their challenges, triumphs, and unique identities. I acknowledge the weight of systemic oppression and its impact on mental health. Through culturally sensitive therapy, I aim to dismantle barriers and cultivate resilience. I advocate for self-compassion, self-care, and self-empowerment, recognizing that our personal healing contributes to collective healing. My approach integrates trauma-informed therapies, emphasizing addressing racial trauma and promoting racial justice. Together, we will navigate your self-discovery, growth, and liberation journey.
