There is a myth that healthy mindsets come naturally or can be achieved just by "thinking positive", even when life has thrown you a few curve balls. This myth is everywhere and it places expectations of impossible-to-achieve perfection on all of us. Believing this myth keeps us buried in stress and feelings of low self-esteem, as it tends to keep us striving to keep up the appearance that things are "fine", even if they're not
