About My Clients

Person centered means holding the client in unconditional positive regard, and as a client with Audrey, this is how you are met. You will experience authentic kindness, encouragement, and support. Expressive arts therapy has roots in this philosophy as well, from Carl Rogers. Clients find ease and support in finding the modality that serves them best in processing thoughts, feelings, emotions, or anything that arises in a session together.

My Background and Approach

A student at Adler Graduate School, Audrey is steeped in Adlerian psychology, which includes aspects like well-rounded multicultural orientations, justice, an embrace of authentic compassion. Audrey has a love of creative expression culminating in an expressive arts therapy specialization. Previous training in craniosacral & polarity therapies informs an attunement to basic neuroscience and the nervous system when working with trauma, utilizing tools such as co-regulation & somatic practices. Audrey has the kind of joy that comes naturally but has been deepened only by working with the challenges life offers. She attributes her own growth to various things, like sheer grace, reading authors like Alice Walker, Louise Erdrich, Pema Chodron & Clarissa Pinkola Estes, dancing in the kitchen - & dancing in community. There are many paths to emancipation from adversity; finding the glimmers creativity offers is a key to developing new neural pathways.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Audrey lives in Saint Paul with her partner and cats, growing gardens and community. Currently she spends some of her time working with individuals who have experienced housing instability in a housing-first organization. To relax, she finds solace in the outdoors, dancing, making music, making art, and yoga. She dreams of an ideal world while acknowledging that challenges abound - and accepts those challenges can elicit growth when we work with them.
