About My Clients
Do you have a teenager that just won't talk to you about what is going on in their life? Approaching from a child development and attachment lens, I can help you and/or your teen understand what is developmentally appropriate, as well as exploring options for change to allow them to experience autonomy in their choices. I also have experience working with transgender individuals (of any age) and hope to provide a safe and supportive space to help you achieve your goals.
My Background and Approach
My job is to be your backboard- always supporting you in your attempts to succeed. We start with developing tools for you to utilize for later on when we dig deeper to find the root of what is going on. My general approach explores development and attachment, and how past experiences and relationships may contribute to your current struggles. In our sessions, I try to provide information you can leave and use, whether it be a new coping strategy, psychoeducation, or communication skills. I believe self compassion is an important concept to be addressed for many people. Most importantly, I am here to learn alongside you. We will explore together what is connected to the struggles you are having in day to day life, and together we will come up with a plan to address these concerns. You are not alone.
