My Background and Approach
Using principles from rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) as my guide, I help clients gain the tools they need to navigate through tough times and emotions so that in the future they will be better equipped to help themselves spiritually and emotionally. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at University of North Texas and my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Texas Wesleyan University. For over 20 years I have been honing my craft working for several of the best inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment settings in the DFW area, where I have learned what it takes to empower clients to get where they want to go. During my training to become a therapist, I learned from experts in the field of addiction while working at Sante Center for Healing, Green Oaks Hospital as well as Nexus Recovery Center. I then moved into the Clinical Director/VP of Clinical Services role at LifeNet and then Site Director at The Renfrew Center
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I volunteer to supply families in need with household goods and am passionate about working with people who struggle or have struggled with addiction.
