About My Clients
I love working with queer identified clients. Clients in the polyamorous/Non-monogamous community. I enjoy working with clients that need support processing struggles around their identity, intimacy issues, communication with their partner(s), and navigating grief in all forms(from death, break-up, or estrangement). I love my work with adolescence! I believe that empowering our future generations to speak their minds and express themselves is where the therapeutic working relationship forms.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in Grief and Loss work for the last 7+ years, support individuals and groups to process the loss of loved ones. I earned my BA Women Gender and Sexuality Studies at Mills College in Oakland, and my MA in Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley. I worked in sex-positive activism, heading programs, running workshops, and empowering clients to explore and attune to their own desires.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
There is no need to go through life struggling. I am trauma-informed and hold the utmost respect for my clients. My style of therapy is a balance of collaborative and direct/solution focused theories. You can count on friendly, non-judgmental and stigma-free care. My goal as a clinician is to provide you with a safe space that is stigma-free, sex-positive and inclusive. As a queer white person, I believe that accountability and responsibility are important, I work to continuously check my own privilege and position of power inside and outside of the therapeutic space.
