About My Clients
I work with neurodivergent and/or LGBTQIA+ adults on a variety of topics including trauma, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. I am a neurodivergent-affirming therapist and I enjoy working with creative, quirky people.
My Background and Approach
I'm an autistic art therapist (ATR-BC) and therapist (LPCC.) I have been practicing art and talk therapy for over a decade. I provide: art therapy, talk therapy, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing (SE) to individual adult clients. I primarily work utilizing humanistic, feminist, and relational theories.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am neurodivergent and autistic: I believe that my lived experience as a late-identified autistic supports my therapeutic approach and my relationships with my clients. I provide an affirming space: I identify as a queer, white, cisgender woman. I am gender and LGBTQIA+ affirming, as well as poly, ENM, and atypical relationship supporting. I am body neutral: Diet culture is just another form of capitalistic oppression rooted in systemic racism. I work from a Health At Every Size perspective and emphasize exercise as movement and eating as pleasure. I am always learning: I work on an anti-oppressive and anti-racist basis to provide a therapeutic environment that is not only feminist, but also anti-ableist and culturally sensitive.
