About My Clients
You may look capable and put-together on the outside while feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or stuck inside. Maybe you overthink, procrastinate despite wanting to move forward, struggle with ADHD or focus, or hold yourself to impossible standards. You may understand your relationship patterns but still repeat them, or find that past experiences continue to affect how you feel about yourself and connect with others. My Background and Approach
My approach is warm, collaborative, and active. We won’t only talk about what is happening—we’ll work to understand the patterns underneath it and identify what can begin to change. Depending on your needs, we may build practical skills for anxiety, emotional regulation, ADHD, procrastination, or relationships while also exploring deeper emotional, relational, and protective patterns. I’m an LCSW and Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), with extensive clinical experience supporting people with anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, academic and career stress, and significant emotional distress. I draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches including DBT, CBT, ACT, mindfulness, attachment and relational work, self-compassion, and parts-oriented interventions (IFS). I tailor our work to you rather than expecting you to fit one therapeutic model. Therapy is available in English and Farsi.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people make more sense when we understand their experiences in context. The ways we cope, protect ourselves, relate to others, or push ourselves often developed for a reason—even when those patterns are no longer helping us. I also believe therapy should make room for the parts of life that shape who we are: culture, family, language, identity, relationships, values, and the expectations we carry. I value curiosity over judgment and welcome clients from diverse cultural, religious, racial, and international backgrounds. Outside of my work, I enjoy audiobooks, plants, coffee, puzzles, board games, and discovering new restaurants. I appreciate both meaningful conversations and the ordinary things that make life feel more enjoyable.
