About My Clients
You may be the person everyone relies on—capable, responsible and used to holding it together. Underneath, anxiety, perfectionism, trauma or relationship patterns may leave you second-guessing yourself, shutting down or feeling unseen. Family and cultural expectations can make it harder to know what you need or set boundaries without guilt. I work with adolescents, adults, couples and families in English and Mandarin.
My Background and Approach
My style is warm, honest and collaborative. I combine practical tools with deeper exploration, drawing from EMDR, IFS, somatic work, CBT, DBT, ACT, family systems, attachment-based, narrative and expressive approaches. We may trace a present reaction to an older protective pattern, practice regulation or communication skills, or find a creative way to express what is difficult to put into words. I explain the “why,” gently challenge you and adapt the pace, structure and medium to how you connect best.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a first-generation, bicultural and neurodivergent clinician, I am attentive to how identity, family and belonging shape what we carry. I know that adaptation can be a strength and also make it difficult to recognize your own limits or needs. I believe therapy should not become another place where you have to perform. It can be a place to understand what protected you, decide what still fits and build a life with more room for culture, creativity and the way your mind actually works.
