About My Clients
My clients are diverse in many ways, but have the commonality of life experiences which changed their beliefs about themselves, others, and the world. My clients are open to trying different methods of processing. Many of my clients have done the therapy thing before but feel there are still things that are still "stuck". Many of my clients are SO self aware, yet they still suffer with triggers, largely due to complex developmental and attachment trauma. That's where I come in!
My Background and Approach
I am formally trained in approaches like EDMR, TF-CBT and CPT. I also throw in stuff like virtual sand tray and IFS and DBT to improve self awareness and coping skills. Each person is unique so I have a big bag of tools to meet people where they are. My approach to trauma as a whole is based off of Interpersonal Neurobiology as taught by Dan Siegel, and elements of others like Gabor Mate. My own doctoral research which focused on attachment trauma also guides my work. I am simply a guide helping you build your own bag of tools so you can move towards the version of your life that you envision as being best for you. My job is to show up, help, teach you, and move on once you've figured out how to build that life for yourself. Empowerment and self-efficacy are the core of what I do.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a hardcore believer in gender equity, LGBTQIA+ acceptance, allyship, and support, and promoting voices and rights for children.
