About My Clients
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals reach their full potential, I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey where we work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe and supportive space. My goal is to create an environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in your life. I am currently working with adolescents, young adults, and adults in an individual therapy setting.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in trauma-informed care, which means I use evidence-based approaches to help you process traumatic experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and manage life's transitions. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, or navigating intimate relationships, I'm here to support you every step of the way. With a Master's degree in counseling and over seven years of experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our sessions. During my time in the field, I have worked at multiple residential treatment centers supporting high-risk youth and their families. Most recently, I worked with adults in court-ordered assertive community treatment. The rewarding aspect of these roles was witnessing the transformative impact of compassionate, individualized care as clients navigated their challenges and worked towards healthier, more fulfilling lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Before I entered the world of therapy, I was born and raised in the beautiful state of Colorado. After growing up in the suburbs of Denver, I relocated to the East Coast with my family. It was there that I found my passion for working as a therapist to create a safe and supportive environment for adolescents, young adults, and their families. After receiving my Master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, I moved back to Colorado in hopes of settling down here. I began working in court-ordered assertive community treatment to support adults involved in the legal system. It was during this time that I experienced the impact that I could have on people from a variety of different age groups and backgrounds. In my free time, I love reading books and spending time outside in nature with my husband. Some of our favorite outdoor activities include going on walks, hiking, and camping. My faith is also a huge part of my life and I love to bring that into my therapy sessions.
