About My Clients
I specialize in helping girls and women struggling with stress, anxiety, perfectionism, past trauma, self-esteem, and life transitions. I believe the better we understand ourselves, the better we get at making conscious choices. Gaining insight into the "why" and "how" we operate can help us cultivate self-compassion for where we've been and find the courage to do things differently. Many clients who come to work with me identify as overwhelmed high-achievers on the brink of burnout.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Practice from Georgia State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) specializing in trauma-informed, strengths-based, and creative counseling. I aim to create a collaborative and supportive relationship with clients and work to understand their unique perspectives, experiences, and identities. In this way, my approach is tailored to each person, where I integrate various types of therapy to explore emotions, build skills, and make positive changes. My goal is to empower clients to move from surviving to thriving in every aspect of their lives - relationships, family, school, or work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a recovering perfectionist myself, I know what it’s like to feel like you’re hustling for your worth in all aspects of life. I’ve made it my mission to help others navigate their own growth journeys by empowering them to move out of survival mode and start thriving in their own values-aligned lives. Let’s start combating the anxiety, stress, people-pleasing, and that bully in your head telling you you’re just not good enough. I continue to be inspired and humbled by the many clients who have allowed me to be a part of their healing journeys, and applaud you for taking this first step in your own life.
