About My Clients
Many clients I work with often hope to address the following challenges in therapy: chronic stress, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, boundary-setting, past trauma, self-esteem, neurodiversity, and navigating difficult life transitions.
My Background and Approach
I received my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Practice from Georgia State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) specializing in trauma-informed, strengths-based, and creative counseling. I aim to create a collaborative and supportive relationship with clients and work to understand their unique perspectives, experiences, and identities. In this way, my approach is tailored to each person, where I integrate various types of therapy to explore emotions, build skills, and make positive changes. My goal is to empower clients to move from surviving to thriving in every aspect of their lives - relationships, family, school, or work. I believe the better we understand ourselves, the better we get at making conscious choices. Gaining insight into the "why" and "how" we operate can help us cultivate self-compassion for where we've been and find the courage to do things differently.
