About My Clients
While open to serving all individuals, Just Be Rooted is operated to provide counseling and creativity services to youth (ages 5-18) and adults who identify as being a part of a marginalized group.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked and volunteered for community agencies for several years. I studied psychology and life/biomedical sciences at the University of Central Florida and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with an Education Minor. I continued my education and obtained a Master of Social Work degree at the University of South Florida. I am currently acquiring my PhD in Depth Psychology with a concentration in Integrated Healing practices. I use an array of therapeutic approaches in order to meet the diverse needs of my clients. I believe in using strengths based perspective to facilitate growth and change while respecting my client’s path. I have a passion for advocating for marginalized communities in regards to the various mental health and physical health care disparities that they face.
