My Background and Approach
Everyone has their own unique set of strengths, challenges, and experiences that require individualized treatment, not a "one size fits all" approach. It is my goal to create a safe, non-judgmental, and accepting environment for us to work collaboratively to help you identify and meet your unique goals and improve overall wellbeing. I am a Board Certified Art Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 7 years of experience providing mental health services to individuals in the Tallahassee area. I am an integrative therapist and draw on aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and Person-Centered Therapy. I have experience working with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression and mood disorders, grief, pet loss, adjustment issues, life transitions, relationship concerns, OCD, self-esteem, LGBTQ+ concerns, body image, and identity development.
