About My Clients
I specialize in working with people ages 6 - 22 who struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, or are going through difficult life changes. My clients feel valued, understood, and empowered to make lasting changes. I work to include parents as much as possible. For young children, I schedule parent consults after 6 to 8 sessions. For older kids, I encourage them to share what we talk about with their parents or to invite their parents into a therapy session, only when they are ready.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Play Therapist. I am trained on DBT for adolescents, CBT, and solution-focused therapy. With all of these evidence based therapeutic approaches, I am able to customize a therapy that is just right for each person. I also have 10 years of experience as a Teacher and School Counselor. I am able to use my knowledge of the public school system to help parents understand and navigate the best services for their child (504/ ARD). I also know which coping skills your child will actually be able to use in the school setting and help coach them on how to advocate for themselves in class.
