About My Clients

Do you find yourself stuck in an endless cycle of negative thoughts that create distress and anxiety? Do you find that you are overworking to prove yourself to others and to yourself? Are you experiencing overwhelming emotions from loss, trauma, or life in general? Managing all of this can feel like too much. I can help you learn self acceptance and self compassion to feel more at peace within yourself and the world.

My Background and Approach

I have over 3 years of experience working with middle and high school students. I have also done some work with college students and adults. I find that CBT principles can be helpful in learning to take control of thoughts. I also integrate some acceptance and committment principles to help you learn how to feel at peace. Overall, I utilize a client centered approach in order to empower YOU to find your voice, share your story, and work toward your goals. I believe that mindfulness strategies and self compassion can be powerful tools for change as well.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone has what they need to succeed already within them- it's just a matter of learning how to access it. I believe that we develop some patterns and habits due to the stress and challenges of life and sometimes we just need a little help to adjust and adapt in order to meet our goals. I do not believe there is a right or wrong way to do life- it's about what works for you and what is in line with your values. I believe that life is an ongoing process of learning and growing and that nobody has it altogether. I seek to normalize the messiness of being human and to help you learn tools to better manage the challenges you find yourself faced with.
