About My Clients
My ideal client is a BIPOC or first-generation adult navigating identity, family dynamics, or a major life transition—often related to parenting, pregnancy, or healing from intergenerational trauma. They may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves and are seeking a therapist who understands their cultural context. They're ready to break cycles, build insight, and move through life with more clarity, confidence, and emotional alignment.
My Background and Approach
I’m a licensed psychologist (PhD, PMH-C) with a background in perinatal and early childhood mental health, complex trauma, and parenting. I specialize in working with BIPOC and first-generation adults navigating identity, intergenerational trauma, and transitions like pregnancy, postpartum, or parenting. As a Nuyorican provider, I offer culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy rooted in warmth, honesty, and collaboration. My approach integrates relational, psychodynamic, ACT, DBT, and CBT frameworks to support both insight and practical change. I believe the therapeutic relationship is foundational to healing, and I work to create a space where clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to break cycles, set boundaries, and live more aligned with their values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that healing happens in relationships—both with others and within ourselves. As a therapist, I value honesty, humility, compassion, and cultural responsiveness. I approach my work with curiosity and care, honoring each client’s lived experience and identity. I believe that we carry both personal and generational stories in our bodies, and that with support, we can interrupt harmful cycles and create new patterns. I hold space for complexity and nuance, especially for those navigating the challenges of being first-generation, BIPOC, or in the early years of parenting. I value growth that is grounded in authenticity, not perfection. I also believe that therapy should be a space where clients feel both deeply supported and gently challenged—where change is possible without sacrificing who they truly are.
