About My Clients
I have a connection with a wide variety of populations, and specialize in veterans, military families, LGBTQ+, and athletes. I’m passionate about destigmatizing mental healthcare, especially in communities where seeking help often feels difficult or misunderstood. Healing isn’t linear—and you don’t have to do it alone. I work with a wide range of issues, including trauma, domestic violence, emotionally and psychologically abusive relationships, life transitions, anxiety, and depression.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic orientation is person-centered, trauma-focused, strength-based, and my practice centers on the belief that each individual possesses an innate capacity for growth, self-awareness, and healing. Drawing from humanistic principles, I foster a deeply empathetic, non-judgmental, and authentic space where you are seen, heard, and valued for who you are. I believe that true change and healing emerge from within, and my role is to facilitate your exploration of your unique potential. I used evidence-based treatments (such as CBT, ACT, and DBT) to help clients develop new skills and tap into their strengths and resilient nature. I have trained and worked at a local non-profit that supports survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. My work in that realm was driven by a strong passion and commitment to advocating for survivors, restoring their sense of safety, and empowering them throughout their healing journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe a multifaceted approach to trauma is best approached with walk-and-talk therapy, mindfulness, somatic exercises, and in-person talk therapy to help clients strengthen the connection between mind and body, reduce muscular tension, and calm the nervous system.
