About My Clients

Are you feeling off but unable to pinpoint the root? Are you have trouble opening up to others for fear of being judged? Are you feeling overwhelmed and struggling to make it through each day without breaking down? Are you feeling like nothing you do is good enough? I get it, I know exactly how you're feeling. Being vulnerable, calming the negative talk, and feeling out of control of our emotions can be very uncomfortable. Let's talk, things can get better and you don't have to suffer alone.

My Background and Approach

The primary thing I want you to know is it's okay to not be okay. My goal is to create, safe, open, inviting spaces that promote open communication and trust to help you become the best version of yourself. I believe each individual has their own unique story to tell and that you are the expert of your life. My background includes school based counseling and both inpatient and out-patient individual therapy working through a variety of presenting problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse disorders, family and relational issues, disordered eating, mood disorders, suicidal ideation and personality disorders. I am also well versed in group therapy, including process groups and groups with the UCLA PEERs Clinic where I assisted neurodiverse individuals with relational skills and other social challenges.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Mental illness has always been important to me as I have seen how it directly impacts many people close to me. I am passionate about ending the stigma associated with mental illness. People understand why they need a cast for a broken bone or stitches for a cut, however, when they are suffering from depression, anxiety, insecurities, boundary setting,  fears, grief, relationship problems, etc. it can be isolating at times and very difficult to seek help. I do not discriminate against anyone, believe in equality for all, and am an LGBTQ affirmative ally and culturally sensitive therapist. I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds including gender transitioning, acculturation, immigration, family separation, and different religious backgrounds.
