About My Clients
Maybe you and your partner keep having the same fight. Maybe your family feels stuck in old roles, or food and body take up more room in your head than you'd like. I work with couples, families, and individuals ready to understand their patterns and try something new. I especially love working with LGBTQ+ folks, blended and chosen families, and anyone who has felt like therapy wasn't built for them. You don't need the right words or a perfect plan. Just come as you are.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate trained in systemic and attachment-based approaches. I look at the relationships and patterns around you, not just the symptoms, so the changes we make can help fix the larger systems you engage in. In therapy with me, you are the expert on your life, and I value you as such. My training includes an externship on a psychiatric unit, where I worked with people in crisis. I've also volunteered in eating disorder research and am working toward my CEDS (Certified Eating Disorder Specialist) credential, which means you'll get care informed by current research on food, body, and recovery. Before becoming a therapist, I spent ten years as a working ceramic artist and earned an MFA. That background shapes how I work: patient, hands-on, and comfortable with the messy middle along side creating expressive art with clients. Growth rarely happens in a straight line, and I'll meet you where you are to explore your own personal map.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My personal beliefs inform my care through a deep commitment to radical acceptance of people's abilities and access to equitable care. I also remain committed to staying at the cutting edge of treatment outcomes to provide ethical care for all clients.
