About My Clients
I work with individuals navigating relationship stress, communication difficulties, anxiety, self-esteem concerns, parenting stress, life transitions, and emotional disconnection. Many of my clients feel stuck in repetitive patterns, overwhelmed by conflict, or unsure how to express their needs. Together, we work toward healthier communication, stronger emotional connection, greater self-awareness, and more fulfilling relationships.
My Background and Approach
I am a graduate-level Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern at Fairfield University working from a relational approach. I believe our struggles are often shaped by relationship dynamics, attachment patterns, life experiences, and environmental stressors rather than existing in isolation. My approach is collaborative, warm, and nonjudgmental while also helping clients gently challenge the patterns keeping them stuck. I integrate Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) concepts to help clients build insight, improve communication, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful change. I am also receiving training in human sexuality and sex therapy under supervision, allowing me to thoughtfully incorporate sex-positive and emotionally attuned approaches into my work when appropriate.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where clients can show up authentically without fear of judgment. Building trust takes time, and I value creating a therapeutic relationship grounded in warmth, empathy, collaboration, and genuine human connection. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel seen, heard, understood, and emotionally safe enough to explore difficult thoughts, emotions, and patterns. I do not believe therapy is about “fixing” people. Rather, I see therapy as a process of building self-awareness, strengthening relationships, developing healthier coping skills, and reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have been lost, overwhelmed, or silenced over time. My hope is to help clients feel more empowered, connected, and aligned with the life and relationships they want for themselves.
