About My Clients
I know what it’s like to struggle with the direction your life is headed. Time keeps passing, but there’s this unsettling anxiety that makes you feel like you’re not enough. It feels overwhelming to know where to begin, and it feels like there’s no one in your corner to help you figure it out. I’ve been there, and through all the confusion, I know that there’s a good, capable person under there who just needs some grounding and support. Therapy with me offers those things.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy helps you feel more comfortable in your skin by creating a space for you to feel cared for and seen without judgment. In that safe space we can explore what is making you feel so helpless to change and why you’re so hard on yourself about it. Together we’ll look at how you’re coping to appreciate where it came from and whether it’s serving you. Through gentle exploration we can understand the root of these negative beliefs and patterns. Bringing awareness to how and why we act the way we do allows us to have compassion for ourselves and make different choices. I know how overwhelming it can feel to take control of your life - I’m here to help, you don’t have to do it alone.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about bringing healing to disenfranchised communities and dedicate part of my practice to working pro bono with foster youth. I am also committed to expanding educational opportunities: in my free time I tutor young children learning to read and am a college counselor for first generation high schoolers. I am an advocate for many movements including Black Lives Matter, Intersectional Feminism and LGBTQ+ Affirmative care.
