My Background and Approach
Dr. Ashley Junghans-Rutelonis, PhD, LP is a Mayo Clinic College of Medicine trained clinical psychologist. She has been in clinical practice for over a decade, partnering with women to solidify values-based living and explore next steps in the lives they choose to lead. She entered the field of psychology due to the unique combination of science and people and worked within healthcare systems for over 10 years, She now focuses on women's health in her private practice. As an evidenced-based clinician, Dr. Junghans-Rutelonis uses an individualized approached rooted in science. Identifying intrinsic motivation, or our why, is at the core of all her approaches. She believes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is matched well with goals, challenging our thought patterns, and changing our behavior. She also believes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help us focus on values, mindfulness, and moving towards the life we choose.
